Kee Thuan Chye Exposed!

Mr Kee Kuan Chye, self-proclaimed  civil rights activist, poet, actor, journalist, God knows whatelse…is supposed to be a man of  principle.  According to Wikipedia, he was “getting memos from his editors at the NST” for pushing the envelope. Kee Thuan Chye a journalist? Please! Get the fact right, please! For readers of his Bullshit Series, he did work for three newspaper companies. But not everyone who works in a newspaper company is a journalist .

He was an editor responsible for correcting typographical errors and grammatical mistakes, the job that he loved so much and was really good at it. In fact after doing “subbing” for many years at NST, he joined the Star and as his bio stated, responsible for “creating and editing the English column Mind Your Language” until he retired in 2009. That is a work of an English teacher, not a journalist!

Cleaning typographical shit doesn’t make you a journo Mr Bullshit! In fact, he should be ashamed even claiming to be one. In the old days, they hauled bullshiters like him to court for lying or just hang him by the lamp post. Journalists  should protest against anyone claiming to be a “journalist”. The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) will never allow moppers and cleaners of other people’s shit to join them.

Why would anyone who believed that there is no press freedom in the country worked “until retirement” at two media companies ie the NSTP and The Star, both associated with the political parties the bullshiter hated so much?

It is about cari makan.  Fullstop. He raised his children using money he got from those companies, sinners all, blatantly pro-government and not practicing freedom of the press that he so championed.

He worked for 30 years with the newspapers that were governed by “the repressive” (his own words!) Printing Presses and Publication Act! So much for principle, Mr Kee Thuan Chye!

You can bullshit the world, but not your contemporaries! We are the JOURNOS, your are not!

He made it a point to tell the world that he was the “top student in class” when he was at the USM. He is bluffing again. Ask his contemporaries.  He was a quite student, a dreamer and a hater of the world. Top of the class! Bullshit! And he told the world, his “political awakening began when he could not afford to pursue his Masters degree unless he has a tutor’s position.” Of course one has to be tutor first to be a lecturer!According to him he applied for the post but “someone else got the job.”(I suspect it has to be a Malay guy!). Another bullshit!

I wonder why USM hasn’t come out with a statement to correct this lie! Put the record straight once and for all please, USM! Don’t allow this Bullshiter to tarnish your  good name!  The truth is there are many opening for “tutors” anywhere and any time, if you have a First Class degree or a Second Upper. Ask Mr Bullshit did he get a First Class or Second Upper at USM (Top of the class, my arse!). Universities here don’t use phrases like “top of the class!”

Where did he go after he failed to be a tutor? He joined a newspaper in Penang. When it went bust he applied for NST. It is laughable to read his bio at this point, “What Kee Thuan Chye could not express through the newspaper, he eventually expressed in his plays!” (Sic!) Can someone explain why he stayed on so long at NST and later at The Star if he is a man of principle? He has nowhere to go except to kowtim with the system he hated so much. Cari makan lor! His bio should read: “What Kee Thuan Chye could not express through the newspaper for fear he cannot cari makan, he  eventually expressed it after his retirement.”

According to his bio, he  firmly believes “that the responsibility of a journalist to the public is to inform them of the truth, he had to battle his superiors and as a consequence, he was often punished, marginalized, and shut-out!”

Did he say he was  punished? Funny choice of word.He was a loner and a loony! No one cares about him at NST or the Star. Marginalized and shut-out! Of course cleaning other people’s text is a lonely job! Ask any janitor!

And the stupid Reader’s Digest voted him the 34^th most trusted Malaysian in a poll in 2010! You got to be kidding me, RD! No wonder people look at you as a magazine for half-wits!

He wrote “Hishamuddin PM Material: Think Again!” As usual he runs down everything in the government. He hates Hishamuddin and almost everyone else in the cabinet. He doesn’t even care if the unfortunate incident of MH370 unites the nation (except his kind of course).

His readers are not aware he was never really a “journalist” so, he doesn’t understand the ethics and principles of journalism. Pardon him for his foolishness thinking that attacking anyone is a responsible thing to do.  Journos are supposed to be fair. Remember, he was cleaning and mopping others people’s shit and not really writing his own stories when he was in the newspaper companies! Except for commenting on other people’s grammar, he never really wrote anything for he was too meek to say anything at all! That’s the truth! Only after he left The Star, he had something to say.

“Janitor turns true journo after retirement!” That’s a good lead story in The Star!

Someone must remind him that MAS actually saved his life when he had a heart attack mid-air on his way to Europe some 20 years ago?  A MAS flight had to make an emergency landing in a desert city to save him.  Ask him. He didn’t mention that in his bio? Not while he is condemning MAS! Grateful? Not in his vocabulary!

Mr Bullshit needs to be exposed!
